7 Tips To Take Care Of Your Smartphone
How to care for your phone: More expensive and more fragile than we would like, smartphones live frightened by all kinds of threats: falls, water, excess heat, thefts etc. You can follow the tips below to learn how to care for your cell phone.
Use a resistant case:
The best ones are those that cover both the sides and the corners.
It is about reinforcing the protection, so it is not convenient to choose one of those covers that replace the mobile phone’s own shell.
Some also cover the screen, but choose those that close completely (here, the lid will not open when the phone falls to the floor).
Another option is screen protectors, but they protect only from scratches.
Dry it if it gets wet:
Most mobiles are not waterproof, so if they get wet you have to disassemble them and let them dry 24 hours before reassembling. If you are not confident doing this, it is better to take the phone to a technician than to try to carry out this action yourself.
Do not leave it in the sun:
Your smartphone can overheat if you leave it in full sun, so you have to know the right temperature that is best for your phone.
Lock the screen:
Lock your phone with a PIN code or a blocking pattern, so that it can be protected from contacts in your bag or your pocket.
Download search app:
Some phones already have them installed, but you have to register and activate them. Do it before losing your mobile! Search in your app store.
These apps allow access to remote control functions from the web. In case you lose your phone; you can locate it on a map and erase all your personal data remotely.
Remember your IMEI code:
This is the 15 numbers that identify you and that you will need to report a theft to the police. The IMEI is also essential to block your phone remotely if you can’t get it back. To know what your IMEI is, type this in your phone (and take note): * # 06 #.
Sometimes what hurts the most is not losing the smartphone but everything that is inside: contacts, photos, videos . Making a backup from time to time is a highly recommended practice.
With Android phones, use your Google account to backup. If you have an iPhone, use iCloud.
